Advertising campaign launched to motivate Americans practice healthy habits to avoid the spread of H1N1 flu The Department of Individual and Health Services, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Sesame and Education Workshop, the nonprofit educational organization behind Sesame Road, have teamed up to release a fresh, national public service advertising campaign made to encourage American children and families to apply healthy habits also to take steps to avoid the spread of this year’s 2009 H1N1 flu virus . The PSAs highlighted in this marketing campaign can be viewed on Through the spring, the Sesame Workshop created four different versions of a television PSA featuring Sesame Street’s Elmo and Gordon explaining the importance of practicing healthy habits such as washing the hands, sneezing in to the bend of your arm, and avoiding connection with your eyes, nose and mouth.
